It all started after I read The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Set in biblical times, women would gather in a red tent to nurture and support one another during their moon time. After reading this book, every time I got my period, I’d think, “Darn it! I wish there was a place I could go to relax and be with other women, like in The Red Tent.” Sensing a universal need and opportunity, I came up with a business model that would solve this dilemma. I decided to launch mymoondays.com and spread the word while I work toward opening a physical location for the first Moondays. Our mission is to enable women to honor and celebrate their monthly cycles. Please join us on this journey to realign with the gifts we have inherited as women. There is much healing, power and energy to be gained by tapping in to phenomena that intricately ties us to nature, our moon time. Instead of wishing it would just end or go away, let us embrace it and maximize its potential like our ancient ancestors did. Let us pave the way and teach our daughters that this is something to look forward to, and celebrate a young woman’s first moon. Let us also learn from those who have made it over the moon, moon paused, and benefit from their wisdom. At mymoondays.com you will find articles, blogs, resources, products, links and community. We will be adding as we go, and we always welcome your feedback. We hope you enjoy it and honor your cycle. In love & light, Susan Landa |
