Our bodies go through significant physical and hormonal changes during our moon times. Don’t fight it. Relax! Take some time out. It is common knowledge that relaxation is necessary for optimal health. It allows the body to initiate restorative functions and aids our bodily systems in running smoothly. We deserve to take care of ourselves. Moon time is an especially good excuse for taking time out to relax and recharge. Stress is a contraction. As Pam Chubbuck, PhD succinctly states, “Being contracted is the source of most women’s mental and physical ailments including dysmenorrhea (painful periods), headaches, migraines, and PMS (pre menstrual syndrome)”. Hot baths are an excellent way to relax and unwind. There are certain herbs you can use in your bath that are especially suited for moon time. Herbal teas can also have a soothing effect. Make a special recipe just for Auntie Flo. |
